Join the Pensacola Civic Band, Thursday May 15th at 7:00pm as we KICK-OFF the 2014 season of Evenings in Olde Seville Square! This year will be a special performance by the band in that you get to listen to TWO bands. Yes, that’s right. There will be TWO bands performing this year. Due to the growth and size of the Pensacola Civic Band (WE ARE OVER 90) and the size of the Gazebo is not big enough for over 90 chairs and instruments, we have split the band into a GREEN band and a BLUE band.

The Blue band starts the concert with Morton Gould’s “American Salute” and continues with favorites like “America from West Side Story,” “Dixieland on Stage,” and “Someone to Watch Over Me.” The second half of the concert, performed by the Green band, begins with Henry Fillmore’s “Americans We” and Grundman’s “American Folk Rhapsody #3.” You’ll be tap-ing your foot by the time the band gets to “American in Paris” and feel a sense of American pride as we close with a “Patriotic Sing-a-long.”

Don’t miss this FREE concert as the Evenings in Olde Seville Square’s 2014 Season Kicks off with the Pensacola Civic Band. Bring your lawn chairs & picnic and be ready for a great night of music and entertainment.
