On Air with Doc Severinsen

Saturday, November 10th, 7:30 p.m. Saenger Theatre

Heeeeere’s Johnny! That lead-in, followed by a big band trumpet blast, was the landmark of late night television for three decades. The ‘Johnny’ was Johnny Carson, the announcer was Ed McMahon and the bandleader was Doc Severinsen. Join the Pensacola Civic Band on Nov. 10, during the FooFoo Festival, as we welcome the legendary bandleader and trumpeter, Doc Severinsen, to Pensacola! We also welcome Cathy Leach, Professor of Trumpet at the University of Tennessee, to perform with Doc Severinsen.

Christmas at the College

Monday & Tuesday, December 10th & 11th, 7:30 p.m.
Pensacola State College, Ashmore Auditorium

This is one of the most favorite times for the Pensacola Civic Band and for the Pensacola Music Community. With a festive air and bounce all around, we surround ourselves with the sights and sounds of Christmas. From decorations throughout Downtown Pensacola to the buzz in all the stores, one constant is the music of the Holiday season. We welcome back each year our favorite characters with open arms; Frosty, Rudolph, the Grinch, and many more, and sing their songs that bring back those fond memories. Join the Pensacola Civic Band at the Ashmore Auditorium and celebrate the season through music.
